THE BIG PICTURE

We are living in difficult times, a time of competition and innovation. Time of information, a time when it is clear that the rich live in abundance while the poor live in scarcity. Where does this dichotomy come from? What do people do to be different? How is it done? And then why do we do what we do?

Asking these questing of “WHY”, brings us closer to discovering how, where, when, and what we need to do to make things better for ourselves, for others and for the Universe. The reason why we do what we do is because we are driven by purpose and believe.

Simon Sinek describes purpose in his book “THE INFINITE GAME” as an endless feeling of fulfilment and passion to doing what needs to be done throughout our life nor matter what risk involved. It is our IKIGAI (the Japanese Formula for Happiness). Our sense of purpose is what leads us to The Big Picture.

THE BIG PICTURE is a clear mental definition of what you want to achieve. Napoleon Hill in his book “Think and Grow Rich” says "whatever the mind can conceive and Believe, it can achieve". The Big Picture concept describes the time and moment when we feel everything (at least what we want) is better than before. It represents the result of working hard every day with passion, our purpose in life and often is a combination of many other small achievements to become a new system or new lifestyle. It is applicable to every sectors of our lives and requires a mastermind alliance or synergy of visionaries or Visionary and followers to achieve it.

Examples of the BIG PICTURE concept can be

  • The vision of developing a digital system that’ll enable a global market for farmers in Africa to trade and boost the economy of Africans.

  • The vision of uniting all African countries to a common currency

  • The vision of all or Majority of Africans to believe in the African Tradition and Culture.

  • The vision of African youths investing time and energy to becoming self-employed after their university education or Degree.

  • The vision of considering skillful and talented African youths into positions of Leadership for the growth of our nation and Continent.

8 STEPS ON HOW YOU CAN ACHIEVE / ATTAIN THE BIG PICTURE OF YOUR LIFE?

  1. Considering you have identified your purpose, compare the standars of the life you are living now to that which you want it to look like(The Big Picture). identify the things around you that can serve you to build a working prototype of the big picture.

  2. Put the idea of improving the present status-quo on paper.

  3. Design small executable steps towards the attainment of your purpose and schedule each activity to be carried out into fix time frames.

  4. Do a little of it every day.

  5. Analyze the results of your current innovation and share your ideas with like-minded people as you.

  6. Repeat step 1 to 4 together with your team in an incremental way and then

  7. Take it to the market or Public.

  8. Put value to your Product or Service and Clearly explain how to use it.

Putting into mind that nothing good comes easy, be determined to achieve the BIG PICTURE of your life until you die.

A Stereotype About Cameroon: Africa-In-Miniature

My country Cameroon, as well put on https://www.everyculture.com/Bo-Co/Cameroon.html, has diverse cultural, religious, and political traditions as well as ethnic variety. English and French are her official languages, a heritage of her colonial past as both a colony of the United Kingdom and France from 1916 to 1960. This means two of the most popular languages in the world are used in Cameroon. The above factors and many more, together with her location usually described as “The Armpit of Africa”, sparked a popular stereotype mainly by tourist literature, her being considered “Africa in miniature”. Asserting that she offers all the diversity of Africa, in climate, culture, and geography, within its borders. Some might question this, but based on my experiences and research, I think it might be safe to agree so. Well, let us find out.   In the context of language, not only do her inhabitants speak both English and French, regarded as some of the most popular languages in...

THE POWER OF YOUTHFULNESS

I am writing this article at the age of 27yrs old and in my youthful age.  I remember when I was traversing to this stage of my life (from adolescence to adult), I will dream of fancy things like, -          To one day fry a tray full of eggs and slice it into pieces like a cake. -          To play football and be a superstar like Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon. -          To become a well-known Genetic engineer and add value to humanity. -          To party every day and make merry with friends. -          Etc. Funny enough, as I am writing to you now, -          I am undergoing a transformation to become a vegetarian, -          I don’t have the patience to sit for 90 minutes and watch football t...
